Local Dance of Southern Khorasan

The Cultural Ceremony of the local dance of Southern Khorasan No. 806 on 04/11/1391 was registered in the National Index of Iran.
The Folk Dance of the County of Southern Khorasan has a long history and is with rhythmic and dramatic movements. The province has a wide variety of dance and music. Rhythm beats contain 5, 3 and 2 in the region, having unique features and are not common in other parts of Iran, beautiful vocals, epic songs and dances are common in Quhistan and Birjand.

The Skill and Technique of Leather Shoe Making in the Charmeh Village of Sarayan with Number 72 on 23/1/2013 was registered in the National Monuments.
The construction of local shoes in Birjand goes back to 1300 A.H. and in the County of Southern Khorasan many different shoes have been made namely:- Saghari, Simple Shoes, Ostekhani (Osseous), Wooden Talabak, Giveh, Gorji Shoes, Orsi , Choopani, etc, and usually the shoes are made from leather, rubber and cotton.

The Sadeh Celebration

The Sadeh Celebration in Do-Hesaran Village in the Sarayan Township runs from 28 January to early February and according to the local residents Ahman –Bahman are also run.

One of the ceremonies done at this time is making fires and in addition to igniting the fires and making a ring of fires held above their heads. Six nights After Birth (Shab-e-Shesh Moloud)

The Ceremony of Six Nights After Birth with No 817 has been registered as a National Monument on 04/11/1391.

The Baby Naming Ceremony usually takes place on the sixth night after the birth and generally, parents name their baby, and the grandfather chooses it from the Quran. Sometimes they right some names on small pieces of paper and put them between the pages of the Holy Quran and then open the Quran and that name is given to the child.

The Fountain of Morteza Ali
