The First Eco-Tourism Residency in Tabas will be launched within the next few months

The Head of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Tabas informed that the 14 Eco-Tourism residencies will be launched in the Town of Tabas.

From a report from the Public Relations Department of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Administration of Southern Khorasan, Mr. Rasoul Behbahani added: “In the way of Development and Prosperity, Tourism in the Town of Tabass and implement of policies of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of the Country is to create and launch Eco-Tourism Resorts in the Country, 14 files related to the applicants of the launching of the resorts are from villages like Pir-e Hajat, Halvan, Esfahak, Azmighan and Kord Abad, was sent to the Cultural Heritage Administration of Southern Khorasan to issue the agreements”.
He continued: ”Fortunately, the city's status in terms of exposure to the traffic corridor, south to north and Mashhad al-Reza (AS), also the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein ebn Musa al-Kazem (AS) the brother of the eighth Imam of Shite Moslems of the World, having 7 villages for the purpose of tourism, 2 sample areas for tourism, the Pristine Desert, Alpine Foothills, Rail and Air infrastructure, Having millions of pilgrims, passengers of domestic and foreign tourists annually, has led to have the most applicants for the launching of Eco-Tourism resorts in the Town of Tabas”.
The Head of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Tabas continued by saying: “From the 17 files which were sent to the County, 14 files were about this town which has about 5 residencies in the villages of Halvan, Esfahak and Kord Abad which show significant progress and, God willing, they will be opened within the next few months. The main advantages of setting up residence in these villages are to increase Tourist Accommodation near the Monuments and Nature, the Presentation and Sale of Local Crafts and Traditional Foods which will make revenue for the villagers, to create sustainable jobs to eventually prevent migration and the return of the villagers to the villages”.
