From a report from the Public Relations Department of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Administration of South Khorasan, Mrs. Zahra Rezaei Malakouti the expert for recording Natural Heritages of the County said: "About 400 hectares of land in the village cultivation consist of Date Palms. So the inhabitants of Dehsalam go straight to the Palm Tree and Dates. Its branches cover their roofs or are used for winter fuel, baskets, mats and brooms are woven from the leaves, wrapped fibers are used for ropes and the fruit gives them their daily strength and this has led to the proverb saying that "If a palm tree is cut down nine jobs will be lost". In the case of this rare phenomenon the introduction of different types of palms, palm planting and harvesting the palm groves, irrigation systems, hand picked products related to palm trees etc.The Village of Dehsalm is the place of the Lut Desert Office and is the important way to the desert which has a grove and it shines in the heart of the desert and still always attracts many tourists. The Groves have the important role in biodiversity, tourism and as a world attraction.
The Groves of Dehsalm are Registered on the National Natural Heritage List
The suggested case of the Groves of Dehsalm on 27/04/2016 was registered at the Natural Heritage Committee Meeting and was confirmed by the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization.
