The crest of Dam is about 15 m in length, 8.5 meters in width, with 10 meters width at its base, but the first height of the Dam was 6 meters and due to evidence, parts of the Dam due to destruction became to be about 4.8 meters. Unfortunately, half of the Dam in the past has been destroyed by heavy rain. The materials used in the construction of the Dam are stone, bricks and mortar. Although this Dam had a small crown and because the river is wide the reservoir of this Dam was relatively large and it could store lots of water. In attention to the amount of rain, this river always flows, and traditional repair of this dam was helpful, firstly to keep water resources for Agricultural and to provide drinking water for the Shousf area and nearby villages and also an attraction for Tourists.
The historical era of this Dam is at the end of the Qajar era and the beginning of the Pahlavi era. The name of the architect is ‘Sheybani’.
