The Second Conference of National Archaeology of Iran, held in the Great Museum of Khorasan

The Second Conference of National Archaeology of Iran in cooperation with the Administration of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Khorasan Razavi, South Khorasan and the University of Birjand was held in the auditorium of the Great Museum of Khorasan which is located in Mashhad in the Boustan e Golestan, with the participation of Scholars, Researchers, Professors and Students of Archeology of the Country and took place for two days on the 18th and 19th November, 2015.

From a report of the Public Relations Department of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Administration of South Khorasan, The Liable of Research Section of the Administration said: “The purpose of this Conference was to check the latest scientific achievements of Archeology in Iran, exchange of views between Experts and Researchers and to become familiar with the latest discoveries in Khorasan and other Counties in the Country”.
Mr. Seyed Ahmad Barabadi added: “Six articles were sent to this Conference from the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Administration where two of them with titles of “New Research of the Bronze Age era in South Khorasan" ( Case study: the Gavand area of Baghestan in Ferdows) and "The First Report of Animal Archaeology of the Ancient Area of Kaleh Koub in South Khorasan in the East of Iran" showing that the two most important areas related to the Chalcolithic and Bronze Age and these studies presented at the two sites”.
We need add: The President of the Institute of Cultural Heritage, the President of the Institute of Archaeology, Archaeological Society's President, the Head of Global Exploration Burnt Registered Area in Zabul and the Head of the Archives Museum and Library of Parliament were the guests of this Conference.
