The Waterfalls of Sabz Roud Valley of Sarayan has been recorded on the Natural National Heritage List

The Waterfalls of Sabz Roud Valley in the Kamar Sorkh area in Sarayan has been accepted for Registration and Protection of the Natural Heritage Committee in Tehran to be recorded on the Natural National Heritage List.

From a report from the Public Relations Department of Cultural Heritages, Handicrafts and Tourism Administration of South Khorasan, Mrs. Zahra Malakouti the Expert for the Administration for Recording Natural Heritages said: 'The Waterfalls of Sabz Roud Valley which are on diffetent levels flow for a length of about 2 km and are situated in a very rugged way, but very beautiful which except without the facilities of climbing can not be reached. In this area there are about 19 waterfalls ranging from 1.5 to 18 meters height. Each waterfall pond is between half to 2 meters deep. The waterfalls are connected together by canals. This area has protected zones and valuable species of animals such as antelope and sheep are found there.The beautiful and pristine nature of the Sabz Roud Valley, attracts hikers and nature lovers to the area. This unique effect in the Sabz Roud summer area is located 35 Km North of Sarayan and 2 Km North of the Karimou Village was recorded on the Natural National Heritage on the 14/12/ 2016'.
