The Dig-e Rostam Spa in the Town of Tabas is Recorded on the National Natural Heritage List

The suggested file of registration of Dig-e Rostam Spa in the Town of Tabas in a meeting of registration and privacy committee of Natural Heritage was confirmed and recorded on the National Natural Heritage List by the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Country on the 27/04/2016.

From a report from the Public Relations Department of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Administration of South Khorasan, Mrs. Zahra Malakouti the Expert for Recording Natural Heritages in the County of South Khorasan said: 'The Rostam Spring is one of the famous Mineral Spas in South Khorasan which is called the "Dig-e Rostam". The people of this area believe that in the holes through the volcanic rocks under the rocky cliffs, the bubbling of water remembers the mans boiling pot.
The Dig-e Rostam Spring is in the vicinity of boiling water running down the path is yellow, the reason is the sulfur in this spring. The temperature of the water spring is so hot that it is boiling. After about 200 meters the water runs into the pool. Along the way, water loses its heat and at the pool, the heat of water is ok that you can swim in it. Due to the heat and minerals of the water, it is used to relieve rheumatic pains and for water treatment. Near the fountain in the desert, there is a large area covered with volcanic rocks which is also noted by travelers'.
