The Contexture of Houdar

Houdar is a village located on the edge of the desert, with a special contexture exhibited for the climate. In Houdar the new and old contexture are completely separated, so that the old contexture is enclosed within a tall fence and the newly constructed village is located outside the fence.In large enclosures of Houdar, apart from old houses, Mosques and water are related to the Qajar era. From the ence of Houdar some parts are visible.The main entrance is on the north-eastern side of the fence, which is like a hall of baskets (Sabat). The houses of the Houdar Village are located on the northwest-southeast side and tall wind towersare all facing North east. The materials used in the rural context are brick and mud.The bricks which are used to build water reservoirs and Mosques.
